Best MBA for Marketing and Communications professional

Leonarda

Hi there,

I am looking for the best suitable EMBA (anywhere in the world) or Part-Time MBA program (in UK or in Europe).

I have 10y experience in marketing, communications, event management, media with a focus on luxury. Worked in Russia, Asia and now in Switzerland, where I am heading a Marketing and Communications department in a small company (20 employees, 2 people reporting to me).

I am looking to apply for similar roles in bigger international companies and would like to do an MBA to increase my chances and grow. Important for me is to find a program that will not require a math test and preferably with strong focus on Marketing. I am certainly more on a creative side and not keen to deep dive into corporate finance and accounting within my MBA.

So far I have shortlisted The Central Saint Martins Birkbeck MBA, IFA's MBA Luxury Brand Management, EMBA at Illinois.

If you think that MBA is a wrong way for me, which other options could work well? Short programmes, micromasters...?

Thank you,
Leonarda

I'm a theology graduate working in marketing. The best thing I ever did was conquer my fear of numbers. In marketing, if you have the numbers you have the power. So, I recommend you take a real MBA that is designed in a way that you take the quant stuff over a long period of time, extensively rather than intensively. Illinois is exactly that. If you are in Switzerland for the next year or two, I would imagine there are great part time options there.

I would also look at options at the ETH, and the EMMS double degree from Boccioni and Esade.

Thank you Duncan! I am also very curious to know whats your take on The Central Saint Martins Birkbeck MBA. It's not accredited from what I gather.
