Where to start?
They're two different degrees. an MA, or a Masters in Management, is a more academic degree. It's aimed at younger students, with no or little experience. Many students go into a masters program directly from undergrad, in preparation for a PhD or other academic work.
An MBA is geared for professionals who have some practical experience. It's a more practical, hands-on degree, where students can put their work experience into an academic framework.
As such, the return on investment for an MBA program is generally much higher than that for an MA.
As to your question, it all depends. an MA specialized in marketing may well be practical in a corporate setting, but an MBA will be the more valuable degree in the long run.

What Ezra writes is true *generally*, as he says. An MA or MSc from a top school will often have better outcomes than an MBA from an unranked school.
