MBA in EU with average scores?

iubitty

Hello all,

I am new to the website but have been following for quite a while. I am looking to apply to a one year MBA program in Europe, preferably France, UK or Greece. Although, I would love to be in Paris. I only have 3 years of work experience (sales and marketing) and unfortunately don't know a 2nd language, although I am learning French! My GPA and GMAT are average (3.2, 530). Are there any programs that I have a shot at getting into? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks so much!

Three years of work experience is good, and enough to get you into top schools.

However, the other parts of your profile leave much to be desired, as you seem to already know. Is there any way you could retake the GMAT after some intensive study prep? The reason I'm asking is that a 600 score would increase your chances exponentially, as well as open up a host of better schools you could apply to. Example: HEC in Paris requires a 600 to apply.

If not, you might want to look at lower ranked schools. In Paris I can think of EMLYON - ithas a one year program in English, but the average GMAT is 600. You'd be below average in this sense, but pad out your resume and make your statements stellar and you might have a chance.

Oh, another one in Paris you can look into is ISM. The GMAT is not required for application.

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for your reply and the information! I plan on retaking the GMAT in the next few months. But I would prefer to enter school this fall and many deadlines will have passed. I looked into ISM and it seems like a great program. I was unable to find their application deadline though. I know my score is low, but I have would really prefer to do my MBA in Europe instead of in the US. I already have several schools that I am applying to here. Are there any creditable schools you might suggest in Italy?
