MBA in Carlos III or Master in Management in EADA

Hi all,

I would like here to ask your advice. I am applying for both international master in management in EADA and MBA in Carlos III (Madrid). I have a master in Telecommunication Engineering and with 1.5 year experience.
Carlos III told me to apply inspite of the short experince that I have, so I want to give it a try.
For EADA I finished everything (test, interview) and waiting the response (I feel that everything went fine).
In case I get admitted in both, which one do you advice me to take? and which one has better future?

I visited EADA and it seems for me a really professional place to study, so I need your help. please.

Thanks a lot,
Tahseen

Hi there..

Carlos told you to apply and EADA took test and interview , hence both showed interest with just 1.5 year work exp...

EADA is well marketed, better ranked school..
Carlos Research and teaching methadology is well know, carlos dont market themself much as they are public school and not private, hence there fee is half of what you would pay in EADA.

Better Future- Tahseen Ali i am just assuming you are asian, SO you should know about European Union law, No work permit post MBA, unless some employee aproves of it and that they belive you can work better than someone from there country.

hope this helps

Hi there,

I am interested in applying the MBA program in Madrid with the budget around 20000-25000 Euros? Do you guys have any suggestions for me?
Is the MBA program at Carlos III entirely taught in English?

Thank you so much for your replies

Hi Krongkiert,

MBA in Carlos III costs 12000? and it is entirely in English.
With this budget, why dont you apply to EADA (24000?). It is in Barcelona (not worse than Madrid ;)) and it has accredition by AMBA, EQUIS and AEEDE, while Carlos III has the one of AMBA only.
I would do the MBA for EADA if I could get admission from them.
I am going to do Master in internationla master in EADA, I got the admission and I will start by Oct.

Good luck!

Dear Tahseenali,

Thanks for your reply.
I am mainly looking for the MBA course in Madrid only.
It is all about the Spanish language, as far as I know the language that uses in Barcelona is not just like the one uses in Madrid or general Spanish. I mean it is a catalunya. Am I right?
By the way, I have read your post, you have mentioned that you have already passed the test. What test are you referring to?

Well, in Barcelona there are two main languages, Catalan and Spanish. Everyone speaks Spanish, so the language is not problem. If you speak Spanish (I see yes), you can understand Catalan, but acually you dont need it, since everyone speaks Spanish.

By getting to EADA (or any such school), you need to have 600 in GMAT or you take a test, since I dont have it, I did the test and I passed it correctly.

Take a look at EADA, I really liked it when I visited it. Visit it as well if you are in Spain.

Unfortunately, I'm not in Spain and I might not have a chance to visit those schools.

Thank you for your clarification about the language in Barcelona. I may give it a try on EADA, but first of all I need the GMAT test first and that 600 pts. is (quite) high.

However, What about the UC3M, did you have a visit at here? If yes, what do you think?

OK then good luck.
I haven´t visited Carlos III, but it is a public school that does not organize things like open days. Anyway, it is not an easy decision, so look more in this site, where there are so many notes about those schools.

Hey there

Firstly Carlos is not in madrid.. it is in getafe, i belive 20 min train from central madrid...

the school is good, one of the only 5 schools in spain to get amba accredation, know for its research, well reputed faculty...

EADA you dont need gmat, they will ask you to take there own test and personal interviews, so if you heading to eada gmat can be secondary...

Tahseen,

With your work experience you should apply to a Master in Management or just wait for a few years and do an MBA. I don't think any accredited MBA program in Europe will give you admission with so little experience. Probably if you ask them, they'll tell you to apply just in case (they can always say no afterwards), but I doubt you'll get your admission, particularly to Carlos 3, which is AMBA-accredited and probably looks quite carefully at work experience. Another option you may want to try is programs in the US. In North America you can get admitted with little work experience (but in those cases you have to prove something else, like excellent academic records).

EADA has more accreditations than Carlos but Carlos has a much stronger reputation. Most people in Spain don't know about EADA.
