MBA - Germany - FOM

alex_bba

Hi everyone,

i live in berlin and currently i am on the search for a part-time mba programme in germany/berlin.

i heavily surfed the internet and was flooded by information. as far a i see it the name of the university as well as its accreditation are very important aspects (aacsb, amba, ecquin).

fibaa, the german accreditation, seems to play a minor role on a international level.

as my financial resources are limited i found an interesting mba programme offered by the FOM - fachhochschule für oekonomie und management.

it has a very good fibaa accreditation, can be attended part-time, is available in 12 major cities in germany and has moderate study fees of about 12.000 euro.

does anyone have information reagrind the renown or rating of this fachhochschule? or is currently attending the mba programme?

The FHW Berlin also offers a MBA part-time course but it does not have a fibaar accreditation or other accreditation at all. (the fibaa accreditation expired on july 2008, no re-accreditation planned)

looking forward to hearing from you soon

kind regards
alex

hi teja,

i decided against the berlin school of economics and started the mba progam at the FOM in berlin (part time). the second term is nearly finished, 2 assignments to go!

my main reason was - being able to change location should the demand arise. i think the berlin school of economics is a good middle class alternative. it is not a top school, such as, mannheim or hhl leipzig but neither is FOM.

kind regards and good luck with your studies,
Alex
