Hi all,
I have been admitted to Mannheim and IE full-time MBA programs. My experience is 5 yrs in pharma, the last 2 in marketing. I aim to go on in the same field, but in different markets in EU.
I do not have any knowledge of Spanish but basic knowledge of German. I know that several pharma companies have HQs in Ger&Switz. I think all stats for IE are known, so I'll give Mannheim's: 48% of Mannheim graduates have starting salaries btw 50-71 kEuro, 29% in 70-100 kEuro.
So I wonder is it really worth going to IE for its top rank after considering my German language advantage and the pharma companies around Germany. Would you recommend IE for someone aiming to work in pharmaceutical marketing? How are IE's relationships with big pharma companies?
Can someone pls comment? I have one more day to decide. Thanks a lot.

Hi Olomouc,
I can't tell you much about IE, but Mannheim may be a pretty good place for an MBA if you want to proceed your career in pharma afterwards. I have attended one of their information events for the ESSEC/Mannheim EMBA and they told me that many of their students and alumni work in pharma and chemical. They seem to have close ties with Roche, Novartis and BASF (see http://www.inpharm.com/news/mbas-broaden-your-horizon).
Hope that helps!
Regards,
José
