HHL MBA 2015

Hey,

I've recently been admitted to the Full Time MBA at HHL. I am here to connect with fellow peers who will be attending the program.
One of my main concerns is the importance of learning German.I already have intermediate level understanding of French and will start a German language course, possibly at HHL, before the program starts in September.
Looking forward to connect with future classmates!

I suggest that you start on German now. There is also the InterDAF centre at the University of Leipzig, which does excellent intensive German courses.

Just for clarity: you don't necessarily need German language fluency to do the program, since it's delivered completely in English. If, however, you're looking to land a job in Germany after graduation, it will be tricky without German. Six months of intensive training before the program would go a long way, but it probably wouldn't get you to the level you'd need to conduct business in the country. The immersion will help, though, as will language classes during the program if you choose to do that. Good luck!

Hi Debanjan, Do you mind to share a bit of your profile here, like what GMAT score is needed to get through. I am planning to apply to HHL for 2016 Intake. However i fall into the worst group Indian IT Male. so bit curious about my chance. I would be writing the GMAT this month end.

Looks like the average GMAT score is 610:

It's always good to outscore the average, especially if you're from a competitive applicant group.

Speaking of this, yes, you are in a very competitive applicant group, so you need to find ways to set yourself apart from others who are similar to you. If you have more than 5 years of work experience, that's the average now, that's good. But also, anything else that makes you different: strong leadership experience, volunteer work, extracurriculars...
