Bewerbungsberatung in Germany (application advisor)

StanFM

As someone coming from quite an unrelated background (teaching) who's interested in applying for an MBA in Germany, I've been advised to get a Bewerbungsberatung--an application advisor who will help with my application and CV so that my experience gets "translated" into more relevant lingo. Is this recommended at all? Is it a common practice? I'm particularly interested in applying to HHL Leipzig. Dankeschön!

I would think that a consultant focussed on English language MBAs would be better than someone focussed on German language job applications. I suggest you contact HHL directly with your CV and ask if you would be a competitive candidate with your current profile.
