EADA is well-reputed in Spain --one of the few accredited programs in Spain. IESE, Instituto de Empresa and ESADE would be the top tier schools in Spain. They appear in most rankings and are usually well placed, in some order or another. They have very good international reputations. Then in the second tier you'd have EADA and Carlos 3. Both are accredited, but not ranked (Carlos 3) or low-ranked (EADA). The programs are not very well known internationally, but still good. There are also other schools, but they are not accredited. There's been quite a lot of discussion in this board about MBAs in Spain, so I suggest you read what has been already written.
At any rate, if your choice is between EADA and Vlerick, I would recommend Vlerick (even if it is in St. Petersburg). That, of course, unless you want to learn Spanish and enjoy a warmer weather. Vlerick is a much better school than EADA (look at the rankings for ex.) and is better known internationally.

Hello duttada,
you seem to be very impatient ;-) so my advice: Be careful while taking you decision, gather all information first and think about pros and cons of both schools.
As jaitego states above, really a lot of discussion about Spanish MBAs and EADA has been going on in this board. You have a complete overview of all posts on EADA here:

Hi there,
Do a thourough research, best thing you can do.
You are right, Vlerick is a lot more reputed around the globe. EADA might not so much be a name outside Spain. But both schools are ranked. As Jaitego says, EADA is as well a very good school, it's n°4 in Spain I would say.
The rankings reflect the difference:
The FT ranking Vlerick is n° 14, EADA n° 50.
In the Economist ranking, Vlerick is in position 26, whereas EADA is n° 100.
I advise you to focus on the question of recruitment opportunities, how is, in each of the schools, the alumni situation, networking, career center, interaction with local/international companies which you'd be interest in.
To begin with: What are your personal career goals, and which of the two programs will suit you better in this sense.

Hi duttada,
Did you make up your mind?
I did, I will apply for the 2009 MBAs at Carlos III, Pompeu Fabra, and EADA. All three are good schools.
Carlos III is financially the best for mee, with a tuition of 9000,- only.
I'm very tempted by the Part-Time MBA at Pompeu Fabra, but the tuition of more than 20 000 is too high for me, so this is only in case I can work parallely or get some other funding. Same goes for EADA - in addition it's one of the top programs so I don't if I can get admission...
I'm sure you did some more research, so I'd be curious if you had found some more information to share!

Hello dutta, Katalina
i have applied by on-line but seems no response from EADA. I have sent e-mails to school but no response :)
How much will the program cost for the batch starting next year? will it jump after higher ranking in the economist rank?
hopefully we can study together!

Hello Noya,
No response at all? That is very weird! I would call them to be sure at least that they received your mail.

Hi Noya,
Happy New Year!!
Sorry for reponding you this late..
I got admission to EADA for the year 2007. But since I was not prepared with my decision so I had asked for deferral of my admission. My admission is deferred now. So, now I am joining them in September 2008.
Well, I think that it may climb to higher ranking as for the last 2 years it is improving and it is in top 100. So, am also hoping for the best.
Hope that I have answered your queries.
Looking forward to study with you!
Best Regards,
Gaurav Dutta

Hi
Actually I'm completing my application for Carlos III and thats my best option so far... since I got admission to EADA but only for their specialized international management master not the MBA. Also I requested information from the MBA full time of Pompeu anyone else going there?
Katalina what school are you finally going? and what year?

Hello! I read all the information you've been posting and lots of things are now clarified. Thank you very much ;) However, I do have some questions. What is the difference between Executive MBA, Full time MBA and International MBA? I saw these categories on EADA website. I am interested in an MBA, (in Spain) useful and recognised internationally (well....at least Europe). EADA seems a good option for me, but which of the three categories above should I choose?I am thinking the international mba applies for me...but not sure. I don't have work experience. Is work experience neccessary for the MBA I want? Please, anyone who is a student of MBA, help me :) Thanks!

Hi Laura,
"Full-time" means that you can't work while you are studying (you wouldn't have time to work and attend the sessions and study).
"International" can mean different things. Sometimes, it just means that the MBA is delivered in English. This is usually the case in Spain. But it may also be an MBA that has more emphasis on international management in its curriculum.
"Executive" means that the MBA program is designed for people with more work experience. For a regular MBA, average work experience can be 3-5 years, whereas for an executive MBA students are supposed to have more experience and a more qualified one.

Hey!
I am interested in the Vlerick Leuven MBA in St. Petersburg because I would like to work in Russia afterwards. I am a Mechanical Engineer and I have OIl related experience.
Does anyone have any info about that?
Is it difficult to stay and work in Russia afterwards? Is it worth it?
Cheers.
