Hello,
I am an IT professional with 6 year workex from India.
I would like to know how is MBA in australia in general and MGSM preferably?
Is MBA from australia recognized worldwide? And how are ROI and job prospects post MBA?
Some people also say that university rating doesnt matter much in australia. Is it true?
If anyone has knowledge, please enlighten as i am planning for this country with all my savings and loan probably but not sure if it will be worth it or not..

It's a good school. It shouldn't be that difficult to get a post-MBA work visa, given that the MBA is a two-year program (from what I remember you can't get a visa with a one-year MBA).

In terms of whether an employer would hire you, that's another question. I would ask the school for examples of grad who were in your position and what they ended up doing after graduation. 'Recognized' is a bit misleading: of course employers everywhere will recognize the value of an MBA. Whether they know of the school or not, that's a different question. Certainly it won't have as much visibility versus a school like Harvard.

Rankings always matter, more or less.

In terms of recognition - you can also look at LinkedIn and try to find out how many graduates of the school's MBA program are living / working outside of Australia. I'm certain that, outside of Australia, the school should have some alumni in various parts of Asia but beyond that I'm not entirely sure.
