I would like some information on the reputation that the Symbiosis School of Business Management and Operations Management enjoy.
I know persons from a law background there and from what I have seen of the law faculty there, a lot of the students are from rich families and have got in based on donations. I have hardly seen them go to class. Now this is law undergrad, and I am sure the Business School is different, but could someone tell me whether the Business and Operations Management Schools are well respected? Its definitely not IIM Level, but is it worth the monetary investment and can it compete with say MDI Gurgaon or SP Jain?

Regardless of the nepotism factor, I personally think it's pretty hard to justify the cost of an MBA program which isn't accredited by AMBA, EQUIS, or AACSB. Anything else is just asking for trouble. Stick with IIMA, IIMB, even IIMK and IIML now, or ISB, MDI Gurgaon, TA Pei Management Institute... There are a few others in India with decent accreditation.
