Hi! Having trouble finding information on Hong Kong UST profiles. I would appreciate a look at my profile from anyone with a useful perspective to let me know if I am shooting too high:
680 GMAT
3.47 BBA-Accounting (some W's) from State University
2 Years Finance experience at a regional bank in US
Medium Quality Letters of Rec.
Working on the essay's, fairly strong quality
Perspectives on matching schools would be much appreciated! Looking to move more into finance and work in Asia.
Thanks!

Send your CV to the school. They will normally provide some estimation for you

Your weakness will be in your work experience. On average, admitted students at HKUST have over five years of work experience - so your two years will be a hard sell with the adcomm.
Look at the following list:

Seems like the best schools for finance in Asia are CUHK and Guanghua. Unfortunately, in terms of work experience, the MBA cohorts at these schools tend to have a similar range of work experience as those at HKUST.
You might consider a master in management or a master in finance - Guanghua has a good master in finance program, as does Antai.

To my understanding, if Finance is what you are interested in, HKUST is definitely the no. 1 choice in Asia. Their faculty is very strong in Finance, and the school has quite solid network with Financial institutions. However, most of their students have about 5 years of work experience. If you only have two, you probably need to be very outstanding for them to consider.

Thanks for the information. I was thinking the same thing. Definitely considering staying on for another year or two and try to build more experience, as HKUST seems like the school for me.
