This is my first board message. I am looking to do a full-time MBA in Dubai. Looks like the best programs are Hult (accredited by AMBA), University of Dubai (AACSB), and UAE University (AACSB) Any thoughts/suggests. ?

Hi Kate,
If you're looking for internationally accredited, then I'd say Hult is good. They require GMAT for their admissions as well which is good and sets a certain standard.
Even SP Jain's MBA is AMBA accredited, so check them out as well as the cost is quite reasonable and from what I know, the programme is very demanding but a rewarding one.
Wollongong's MBA is very good as well based on my peer's feedback. Plus they've been here for an extremely long time and are well-established and connected with industries here.
At the end of the day, it really depends on what your personal objectives are - so do consider the following:
1. Do you want to switch to a particular function/industry - Check with the university counsellors on how can they assist you in moving to that particular industry/function and how well-connected are they.
2. Is it more for personal development rather than career solely - If so, then does it really matter which university and does it justify spending over 100k on one school over the other?
3. Cost and ROI expected - How much money you need to spend VS when can you expect to see returns on it - if the cost outweigh, it may not be very favourable choice
4. Do you intend to stay in UAE or relocate in the long-term? - This will make a diff in choosing a locally-known university or an international one
Hope that helps a little...

Why would you want to do a *full-time* MBA in Dubai? Obviously the best MBAs in Dubai are part-time programes and some of those, like the LBS programme, lead to the same degree as the full-time MBA and have more or less the same cost http://www.london.edu/programmes/dubailondonemba.html

Hello Ezra,
I am from India with 5 years of experience in IT Field, have done engineering in computer science. I want to do MBA from Dubai but I have not given GMAT/IELTS. Kindly suggest me which university I should join for MBA.
HULT/heriott watt/bradford.
Heriott watt do not require gmat score and for english proficiency they need ielts/toefl or a letter from your college that the medium of teaching was English. Is it the right university?kindly suggest.
Regards

If Manchester is a 10 and Heriot Watt is a 1, then I'd say Strathclyde is an 8.5.

Hi Duncan,
Thanks for the reply...I am also considering the fees factor....which one among Manchester/Strathclyde is less expensive as I am not from UAE.I am having 5 years of experience in IT sector. Kindly suggest!

Hi Sushil
I too am planning to do my MBA not this year but in 2014 for sure.
I ve been researching about MBA's in Dubai and so far have come to the following options -
(This is in the order of The best to least)
LBS (dubai)
Insead (abudhabi)
Cass Uk (dubai)
Hult (Dubai)
These 4 are internationally recognized and more or less are a "safe bet" . The rest would be a comprimise.
But for sure dont do it from Indian universities here, not worth it since there are many hidden details regarding their credibility which I know comes a surprise only in the last minute.
For LBS the Avg work experience starts from 4yrs. (You can apply to LBS and see, but would be better if you had 4 yrs and above).

Besides the four years of work experience, any other tips about applying to the Dubai EMBA program from LBS?
