Hi,
Looking to do Executive MBA in Dubai. I have shortlisted Cass and Hult, but still not decided. The aim for me is to develop strong network in UAE and make career progress. I believe both are equivalent in programs with the triple crown accreditation, and after looking at Linkedin profile it seems that Hult has more alumni in UAE (quantity but not sure about their degrees since its a mix of MBA and others).
If you have to compare both, What would be your choice between Hult and Cass (Bayes), considering future careers support in Middle East? Any feedback from alumni?
Thanks

Either comparing Hult alumni against City Alumni, or Hult EMBAs against City EMBAs seem like useful methods, but comparing all Hult alumni against only Bayes EMBAs seems like an odd comparison.

I agree as we need to compare apple to apple. So you mean that in terms of numbers discrepancy is normal due to the different sizes? However I am specific to EMBA in Dubai, not worldwide. What if we compare to Manchester EMBA for example?

I would filter more narrowly: for instance, look at people looking only in the industry / companies that you would want to transition into, and then seeing where they did their degree(s).
As far as I know, you will not be able to filter by specific degree. My sense is that for any of these schools, there will be more MBA alumni than EMBA alumni, in general. But I'm not sure that's a problem - if you find that people from school x work in the company where you want to work, that's a good sign and doesn't really depend on which degree they did.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes that's true, however it cannot be done as you said we can't filter the search in Linkedin by degrees. If it makes senses, would you spend time on manual search? Or is there another way you would recommend?

There is no Manchester EMBA. You can certainly use MBA as a search term.

I went thru a similar exercise in Q2 2021. If you just search schools by their name, you will find all alumni (different degrees). In the Linkedin profile of the school, you can search alumni. Type in keyword like EMBA or MBA based on what you are looking for, then see the ones in your geographical area and industry. I did my searching manually by going thru profiles and then shortlisting a few people, contacted them on Linkedin and some of them were open to have a phone call to discuss.
The quality of EMBA alumni from Bayes is better compared to Hult. Especially in fintech in UAE. Bayes alumni went on to higher director or executive positions or became entreprenuers. Hult still caters to mid management. This was my observation.
I didnt apply to Hult. I did to Bayes and got thru with scholarship. If you need any help with shortlisting programs in UAE or with your application, I am happy to review/help. You can write to me on LinkedIn (Abdul Mujeer Shaikh)

Yes, that's exactly how I would do it. A keyword search for 'MBA' or 'EMBA' is the best way, although not perfect. Should give you a good sense of what you are looking for though.
