Yale Announces New STEM-Designated MBA Concentration

The STEM-designated concentration in Management Science also available to students in the Master of Advanced Management program

Yale School of Management (SOM) has announced that its recently created MBA concentration in Management Science has received STEM designation.

The STEM—science, technology, engineering and mathematics—designation means that international students who complete this MBA concentration will be eligible for a two-year extension on their OPT visas, which are typically 12 months long.

The STEM-designated Management Science concentration is also available to students in Yale's Master of Advanced Management program.

This MBA concentration includes a range of quantitative-heavy curriculum, with classes such as "Probability Modeling and Statistics" and "Modeling Managerial Decisions," for example.

Additionally, the school's newly-launched Master's in Asset Management has also received STEM designation.
