Western Illinois University's College of Business and Technology has announced that it will be offering its entire MBA program online, beginning this fall.
The online version of the program features the same curriculum as the school's in-class MBA. Students will be able to mix and match online and face-to-face classes, depending on their needs. Face-to-face classes are offer on two campuses in Illinois.
Previously, the school had offered some classes online, but now all courses will be available online.
Western Illinois University is accredited by AACSB International. The school is the latest of a growing number of business schools to offer their traditionally in-class programs in online formats. Last week, for instance, New Zealand's Otago University of Otago Business School announced that it would be offering its full-time MBA program online.
This trend is especially prominent among business schools in the US. Just last month, Pennsylvania's Widener University announced that it would offer its MBA online. In previous months, similar announcements have come from the University of Utah's Eccles School of Business, Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business, and New Mexico State University.
