WUSTL Olin or Ohio State?

Guys, I need some help making this decision. (WUSTL Olin vs. Ohio State Fisher).

I've been offered a scholarship at WUSTL which basically would make it the same cost as Fisher.

My goals are to go into finance/banking.

From what I understand Olin has a better reputation in this sector but Ohio State has been rising in the rankings...

Please advise. I am an international student and I want to work in the US after the MBA.

Olin is a greatly superior option. It is one of the world's great business schools.

I'm actually a bit surprised that Fisher is ranked above Olin in the current FT Ranking. Not sure what's been happening there.

In any case, Olin is definitely better for finance - in general, more of Olin's MBA classes go into the industry, and with higher salaries, than Fisher MBAs.

Both are sharp, critically-minded schools. Fisher has a slightly better careers services team (and perhaps an easier local economy), but the Olin students are marginally more senior on the way in and the way out. They are more international, get into work faster and rise more quickly. The difference in ranking is marginal.

Good Luck. I am late to this post. I know several Indian students who went to Fisher - Ohio State and ended up with good job offers. I was in Columbus back in 2014 and OSU has a crazy fan following. Several universities in US - having great football programs (or the Big 10) have godlike fan following and status in US.
I would have personally gone to Fisher given that I came across more Fisher alumni (success stories), but ranking of Olin would suggest it's top notch too for Internationals. Good luck!

Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, what industries did they get jobs after the OSU program? Just curious.

I know two of them went into Deloitte. One is still working at Deloitte in M&A, he had prior work experience in Biotech for less than 2 years I believe in India.

Another had 4 years of work ex in Delhi, India worked for Deloitte for few years after OSU MBA, then worked as Manager for 1 year, now Director at a well know Telecom/Cable giant at US.

I attended National Black MBA's online career event today. I saw at least one Indian - Current student 2 year from Olin MBA there waiting in the virtual queue for Microsoft. The point is without a good career service students are left on their own, and in that case it doesn't matter if you are Olin or OSU (applicable for Internationals).

I would hope that you already spoke to current 2nd year students/recent grads from both schools - specifically those having same nationality as yours. You'd get the best picture of Career Services from them.
