Vanderbilt MBA vs UCD Dublin MBA

Kim

I have offers from both these colleges. Fees and location are not my constraints. Which program offers a better MBA ?

This depends on your goals. If you want to return to your own country, I would pick Vanderbilt.

Thank you for the reply Duncan.
I would prefer to work away from home for a few years atleast. I am open to working anywhere. Which college would be better ?  Owen MBA has a very nice alumni and the post MBA salaries are very competitive,  on the other hand,  UCD is a top college in Ireland. Vanderbilt is ranked higher than Owen. Ranking is a factor but I am also looking at employment opportunities. I have applied to Rice(Jones) and Teper, but am yet to receive an updates on that. So for now, these are my best two options. Please guide.

It's quite hard for international students to find work in the US, especially in the South. Take a look at

Hi Duncan,

I also got offers from Southampton and Bath. Should I stil go for UCD ? Bath has competitive post MBA salaries and Southampton is also ranked a little below UCD in QS.

UCD is much better and, considering the volatility in the UK, a safer bet. The only issue with Dublin is housing.

I have a conditional offer from UCD, so I want to keep a few more options open. I am still waiting for a decision from Tepper and Rice from USA.
Which would be another good option after UCD?

That's a good list, although I wonder if there is an EU bias that results in a lot of EU schools showing up on the list.  Because of the visa-free movement of labour, moving countries within the EU (e.g. Spain to France) is a lot easier than moving from China or India to France.  If that list excluded EU to EU country movements, I think you might see the American or Canadian schools better represented in that list.

I guess it really depends on who you are.  If you are an EU citizen, easier to shift countries within the EU so that list makes sense.  If you are Indian or Chinese, not so much.

The participants in these programmes are generally not Europeans, are they? They are generally non-EU.
