Newbie that needs to be enlightened

Hi guys. I often hear that it is very beneficial to get MBA but I know nothing much about it. Who are eligible to take MBA? What undergrad degree is accepted as prerequisite? How long does it take to study MBA (estimate years for full time, part time)? total number of units?

Some truly fundamental questions :-) Anyways, despite its name an MBA is not only open to business students but also to other graduate students. You can choose among 1-year, 2.year and part-time/execuitve programs. If you want to know more, I advise you to check the introductory remarks on this website (e.g.http://www.find-mba.com/what-is-an-mba and http://www.find-mba.com/which-business-school.

Thanks. Another thing... will you be allowed to take some units of MBA when you are not yet sure if you want to go and get MBA all the way? or if you are just interested to learn through a couple of courses?

Why would you want to to that? If you spend that much money on the MBA courses, you should really try hard to get the MBA degree in the end. The MBA is what counts on your CV. "Some courses at XY Uni" doe not sound that impressive.

Hehe. I plan to take up law school but I was advised to try to develop a relationship with a professor though any class so that I could get an excellent LOR. So if I want to take up such class Id rather spend it somewhere very informative... and MBA is interesting... But it was just a thought... I found a new way..

Indeed, I get your point. Good one.
