Hi All,
I have been searching for this topic on various forums to see if anyone has information
about Hotel - Brand Management. But I have not found anything substantial.
Basically, what I am interested in doing after my MBA in Marketing (specialisation in Brand Management)
is to work for a Hotel Chain (viz. IHG) and work in their Brand Management dept.
I wonder if there are any schools which might specifically be into catering for such a requirement.
More importantly, I would want to know if Hotel Chains visit such schools.
I know my best bet to enter such a field would be to find schools with good Marketing Courses in Brand
Management and then just pursue the companies of my choice, but has anyone come across such a
requirement and if any of you could point me in the right direction, it will be of great help.
Thanks folks.
Saloni

If you check out the links, you'll find some information on schools in North America: Cornell, Niagara... Look at http://www.leadinghotelschools.com/member_school_resources.htm

By the way, I just searched LinkedIn for MBAs in the US hospitality industry and saw this list of the schools most commonly attended by them:
* University of Phoenix (258)
* Cornell University (181)
* Johnson and Wales University (166)
* Rollins College - Crummer Graduate School of Business (81)
* Penn State University (75)
* Florida International University (74)
* University of Central Florida (73)
* Nova Southeastern University (70)
* Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management (68)
* Michigan State University (63)
* University of Nevada-Las Vegas (63)
They will be good schools to focus on, perhaps. I especially like Johnson & Wales (http://www.jwu.edu/content.aspx?id=56275#fbid=v5jNWwE1-Zb)

I'd definitely reinforce Duncan's response.
Note that besides offering a general MBA, Cornell also has a master's in management in hospitality that you should look into. This program leverages a lot of their rock solid MBA curriculum into a more specialized focus.
Other programs to research are George Washington's and Michigan State. These both have excellent hospitality specializations.
A good place to start is an article right here on this site:
