ramki86

RIT is rochester institute of technology and very well known too. I wonder why havn't u heard of it....
Well...so if i look at the curriculum..should go for RIT? right?
Just wanted to know MBA Finance is better at Hofstra or RIT?

Hi Ritika, I am from Mumbai, India. I have an admits from Mason W&M, Pamplin Virginia Tech and Hofstra. I am going Hofstra for my MBA finance because of its lucrative 16,500 scholarship for each year, its geographical proximity (near to NYC) and in fact OK curriculum ( My friend is doing MBA from Hofstra) . I believe Geographical Proximity is the major factor that will help you to choose your school. Well, I also not very much aware of RIT, but still suggest you to think the money factor too, since job picture for Intl. students is still not good. Good Luck

I am little confused about tution fee as your post differs from information provided on Hofstra's website. You said tution fee is $20,930 but on website they are updated as $29,950. Can you please little eloborate on this?

Hi,
Congrats on ur admit.
Actually the website shows a general estimation of the fee,
it actually depends on the courses you'll be opting under your program.
I was given a waiver for a course too. So,may be its because of that.
Well, what so ever the case is, this is the amount written on my I-20 application document and also on my I-20.

Thanks for the information Ritika. It seems they have deducted the scholarship offered from the total tuition fee and given it on your I-20. Can you please share your contact number or email id? My mail id is [email protected].

Hi Ritika,
As you have received your I-20, I hope you might be clear about the tuition fee details. Can you please let me know the amount that we should pay for fall semester?

Suppose if per year tuition fee is $25000 and we are offered with $8000 scholarship per year then what is the amount we should pay for first semester?

Hofstra has incredible facitlities, largest academic trading room in the world. Its geographical proximity (near to NYC) and in fact okayish curriculum, whereas RiT is better known for Finance with respectable PHD program, but its hours away from NYC.
