Hi,
I've just received an email from an US Bschool... Honestly I've never talked with them (probably they got my name from Economist);

"
I am seeking talented professionals to join our community of scholars, and I would like to invite you to apply to the ****.

You have been selected as a priority applicant, which means you will receive automatic scholarship consideration when you submit your streamlined online application. Plus, we will return your admission decision in four weeks once we receive your completed application.

I encourage you to begin applying now. I look forward to reviewing your accomplishments

"""""

Don't you think that sending such emails give a feeling of students shortage?? :-)
I don't think that it's a good marketing idea to send those ads (especially if you aim at best students)
The school is ranked here (between 50 and 100)

Well, the University of Denver is probably struggling to find high quality candidates. After I look my GMAT I got some great emails from US schools who were targeting more Europe candidates.

...how did you guess the University?
btw when someone asked them (during the chat) the placement stats and they answered: "very good.. around 70% are placed at 6 months from graduation" ... I closed the chat
