Visa through an education consultant

ShireenK

Hi,

I approached an education consultant for help with processing my visa. The concerned person shared an Agency Authorization Letter requesting details. I wish to understand does this alter my fee/scholarship? Does getting a Visa through an agency have any bearing on the admission/fee process?

Shireen

Using an agent to process your visa has no impact on fees, but you are less likely to get a scholarship when applying through an agent. Agents typically lead applicants towards universities that pay the agents for accepted students.

Thank you for the insights, Duncan.

Are you implying that signing up with an agent for Visa will alter the scholarship offer that I've already received? Just so that we are on the same page, I already have an offer with scholarship. I didn't use the help of an agent to file the application.

Hello, the UKVI student visa application is quite straight forward but if you really want to use an agent for the visa process, it shouldn't affect your scholarship.

No. I am saying that applying to university through an agent reduces the odds of financial support.
