sufficient work experience

Hi, everybody,
I started research on possibilities to study MBA in London and wanted to ask your advice about work experience required by universities for MBA.
I didn't do career in certain area but I worked in some areas for 8 years cause I was "looking for myself".
I'm Lithuanian, 27, got Bachelor degree in Business Information Management in no. 1 home university.
Worked as program assistant for USAID funded US NGO 4 years.
Worked as projects' manager in Events' management company, 1 year. Did internship in European Parliament.
Managed international youth activities and projects for 5 years.
Currently working as projects' manger in private film production company.
I generally could describe my work as organizing events, meetings, trips. And managing small project teams.

What I need to know if work experience in various areas can be equal to work experience in one area for many years?

Any advice on that?
Thanks
Inga

Generally speaking, I would say that having experience in several areas is an advantage, not a disadvantage.

However, you must be able to explain that you've made a serious career path: in other words, that you haven't just been changing jobs very frequently because you can't commit to a job. You have to find the logic behind your career moves, be able to explain it in a convincing way, and explain how the MBA fits with your plans.

Then, you also have to take into account that business schools will look at the level of responsibility that you've held. For example, to what extent each career move has enabled you to have more responsibility? I hope this helps.
