Nottingham Trent University for Indians

Hello,

I am from India. I am planning to join Nottingham Trent University for MSc in Management and Finance in January 2022. How are the career opportunities after a master's from Nottingham Trent University (I am a bit optimistic as the UK is now issuing 2-year post study work visa)?

Is Nottingham Trent University a good option?

NTU was ranked in the FT's 2019 MiM ranking, where it has the lowest salary of any of the ranked UK schools: https://rankings.ft.com/schools/544/nottingham-business-school/rankings/2829/masters-in-management-2019 I was not in the 2020 ranking. I think the opportunities there are much more limited than at FT-ranked schools.

Nottingham Trent university is an average university located in the city of Nottingham. University of Nottingham is still a better option in case you want to go to Nottingham.
Choice of university very much depends on your career goals. Let me know a bit about your profile and career goals and your budget so that I can advice you accordingly. Also let me know if you are considering part time job while studying as again it could be an important factor while selecting your university. Thanks

Is it a "good option?" Maybe, but it depends on a lot of factors.

What are your goals? If the plan is to transition to the UK, a stronger school would be a better choice.

Of course, it also depends on the *kinds* of careers you'd be aiming for. Being in Nottingham may put you close to certain industries, but perhaps farther from others, than say if you were studying in London.

I'd suggest looking at the FT's Master in Management ranking and apply to some of the schools listed there.
