Hi guys, let me briefly introduce myself:
- I am a 23 year-old individual from South-East Asia.
- I am a fresh graduate and have recently completed my undergraduate studies. Graduated with an Upper Second-Class Honours in Mechatronics Engineering from an Australian university.
- Currently considering postgraduate studies. I have applied for the MSc. International Business course from the Nottingham University Business School and have been given an unconditional offer.
However, I am having a really tough time on deciding whether to pursue my postgraduate studies or to continue searching for jobs. I have several issues that I have in mind that would influence my decision besides worrying about the fees of the course:
- Would the MSc. International Business degree be a good complement to my technical degree? My main motivation in pursuing the above course is to gain some knowledge in business topics and then complementing them with my technical knowledge.
- Would I have better job opportunities with my higher qualifications?
- Would I be able to draw a higher starting salary when I start my career?
- What sort of jobs would I be looking at once I have both the MSc. and BEng. degrees?
I haven't been able to obtain good advice thus far but I've seen some good and useful replies in this forum. Hope you guys can help me out in making my decision, thanks!
