is the msc in management a mini mba or sorts(done so that i can get some recoginition of it in india) or is it at par with an msc in makreitng. ive been in makreting for 2 yrs and still i will stick it thru as a career option.
i have 1.8 yrs of work exp.can someone please help!!!
Also do college, bend thier work 3ys exp requirement...??? as i have 2 yrs as on july 2009?

1. MSc is not 'mini-MBA'...both the degrees are different. MBA is more rigorous while MSc is more theory oriented since avg work ex of student pool is much less than the MBA. Both the degrees are equally challenging but MSc cant replicate the MBA and if we are talking about UK, both the degrees are of 1yr duration.
2. MSc Management is different from MSc Marketing. The former is a general masters program while the later is a specialist masters one.
3. No B School/Uni in India currently offers MSc degrees in Management; Infact a handful of the Universities offer MBA, for eg the super-elite ISB; most of the elite Indian B Schools like IIMs, XLRI etc offer PGD (post grad diploma)...considering these factors the recognition back home might not meet your expectations.
4. Renowned B Schools generally do NOT bend the rules for a prospective student.
