I'm a Corporate lawyer from India with 3 years of work experience as a Legal Consultant looking to transition into the Management/Strategy Consulting industry in the UK.
The UK, because of -
a) 1 year courses
b) the new post Brexit 2 year work visa, and
c) due to English being the business language.
I am not a digger for the MBBs, and would be happy with other mid tier Consulting firms.
Now due to the pandemic, the admissions have been very slow this term, and it is comparatively easier to get an admit for 2021 entry for mid tier MBA/Msc courses.
The questions are -
1. Should I jump at the easy entry or wait for a year, grind a little for the tier 1 MBAs (Cass & Warwick), given that entry 2022 will be one of the most competitive entries in the recent times.
2. Indian lawyer to Strategy Consulting in UK, is it possible? (I am decent at communication and networking).
Would appreciate some feedback.
Mid tier MBA/Msc in 2021 or try for top tier MBA in 2022

Where do you think strategy consulting is happening in the UK, outside MBB?

Hi Duncan, was hoping to get a reply from you. Also, apologies for the over emphasis on the term "strategy consulting" in the latter part of my post. I'm broadly concerned about management consulting, and not specifically strategy consulting only. The options being the usual suspects, the Big4, Kearney, Strategy& etc.
