Hey Nes,
I managed to get a conditional offer for MBM program from the Strathclyde Bus school. That has sucked me into the same dilemna as before - Should I go with MBA from Sheffield or MBM from Strathclyde..
Overall i see MBM being a better option in the long run.
Please do let me know your thoughts..
Thanks in advance

Hi Shyam,
Any day an MBA is more recognized and regarded highly than a MSc (MBM). But this doesnt mean that u should join Sheffield straight away disregarding Strathclyde. As a business school Strath is multiple times more reputed than the Sheffield and the MBM course is has a very strong course structure.
At such confusing times a person need to be practical and prioritize to choose whats best for him/her. No one can make this decision except for you. A few pointers from my side--
Choose Sheffield if:
1. you want to economize
2. you have work-ex of more than 2.5-3yrs
3. you have a few reputed professional certifications (viz. CMI, PMI, BCS etc)
4. you dont have the patience of MBM-MBA conversion which Strath offers
else choose Strathclyde
This is because if you have the above first 3 out of 4 things you sure can make a good career from Sheffield on your own else you need that extra push which the MSc degrees provide that all less/no experienced ppl need to build a managerial career.
Understand one fact, it would be virtually impossible to apply for Graduate level openings in the UK Cos. if you do a MBA. You will be considered for higher level posts ONLY if you have (relevant) experience.
I hope this helps...choose carefully.
All the best.

I agree with blue blaze. Get your MBM and then convert it to MBA after 3 years of work experience. Eventually, it's all up to you. Whichever program you decide to choose.

not yet, i applied only 2 weeks back,ya IELTS is must in all prestigious schools.i dint take it yet too
i will still feel MBA Sheffield, is better option.as you wont have to convert MBM to MBA,study more, pay more, attend classes more,
althou stratchylde has advantage , as it has triple accreditation.
