Hello,
I received offer of a place for MBA at Birmingham and Edinburgh. I need an advice about which one to choose. Birmingham is a little bit cheeper. But I am leaning towards Edinburgh.
Thank you

Yes, Edinburgh MBA alumni do better, partly because of the school's stronger focus on finance, IT and consulting. That's also the consensus at: http://www.find-mba.com/boardsearch/63/q/Birmingham+Edinburgh

Duncan,
I knew they have very strong profile in Finance and IT as well as Financial Engineering but the MBA curriculum seems fairly spread out like a general management program

Yes. That's why I didn't say that their MBA has a focus on these things, but rather than the school does: those are the organisations that is focusses on building up recruiter relationships with.

After these posts, I am begining to feel a little bit confused. If Edinburgh MBA seems to be a general management program. What is specific feature of Birmingham MBA? and which one is better?

The Birmingham MBA has three tracks. Take a look at http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/schools/business/mba/courses/index.aspx

Go for Edinburgh, it is much better than Birmingham whether its curriculum, faculty (specially Finance and Marketing) or post mba job prospects. Further Edinburgh is a financial centre of Scotland and finding jobs there are much easier as compared to most of the other parts in UK.

I think Birmingham is better for marketing. They have great marketing faculty there.
