Thanks for your reply
but can you tell me why from your point of view I should choose Manchester?
I did my research and found out that IE is better ranked while Manchester is better known, IE DL program costs much more than Manchester, IE offers video conference classes every week while Manchesters is more of self study.

Reason:
Manchester DL MBA contains Corporate Finance as a core module, IE DL MBA doesn't even have it as an elective module.

Why do people always comparing MBA like a branded watch or bags?
people tends to compare schools simply by ranks (from FT, BusinessWeek, Economist).
This is like reading a prospectus from your local Relationship manager who is trying to sell you mutual funds or structured products.
There are pro and cons with each schools mentioned in this forum.
IE: pro: great in enterpreneurship, have very diverse student profiles
Cons: after graduation, where would you look for a job? Spain?
With 20% unemployment rate, I don't think it'll be easy.
Warwick: Pro: great in IT and consulting
Cons: you're in Coventry!!! Far from the City of london.
Some say the courses are too theoretical.
Machester: pro: good in finance, int'l business and risk mgmt
Cons: too far from London!
Before you even look for a job, companies already secured ppl from LBS, Cass, cranfield.
There are some many things to consider other than ranking.
Just do your research, find one that fits you (and your wallet).
Note: this post is biased towards my view, where one should focus
on Location, Location, Location.
Because during your program, you need to network from day 1.

thanks for your points
I suppose people use ranks as a sort of guarantee for the money and effort they are going to invest in the programs or as a selection criteria.
your points are the same for DL programs for the above mentioned universities?

Rhino,
if location is of such importance would you suggest to put London School of Business and Finance above Manchester?
And you mention Cranfield, is it a tie 1 or what? I thought Manchester much better known internationally than Cranfield.
I myself think of Manchester and wanna way all cons and alternatives well.

I agree with the original post to a certain extent - that is, rankings are important, but you shouldn't base your entire opinion on the number. Often, the factors (especially location and specialization, as noted earlier,) are not factored in to rankings.
It's much better to pay attention to the accreditations, and since those schools all have the triple international accreditation, I see them as pretty much equals.
