Hi,
I am going to decide between doing a MA in Management at Durham Univeristy in UK or doing the MBA at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia , USA. I have 12 months work experience in business field with a bachelors degree in economics and minor in business management. I prefer to work in private sector and in marketing or management fields. Are the above 2 programs very different than each other and which one has a higher rank? I am not US citizen nor UK.
thanks

I think MBA is better option. You should concentrator on long term goal.Other thing that matter is your interest is in which side.

I sounds like you're more suited for an MBA, although depending on the school, you might need more than 12 months work experience. I would look at which each school requires in terms of that. I believe Durham is ranked higher, but that's not always so important. Would you rather work in the UK or the US?

thanks...I would rather work in the states than the Uk. since I have got my BA in USA as well I think doing MBA in USA is the option to go for. I am already admitted to the program with this little work experience so I can start with it. Do you think if I had more work experience this would have increased my chances to get a suitable job after graduation?

I think having more work experience does increase your chances of getting a suitable job after graduation, because hands-on training cannot always be taught in the classroom. That said, it's still possible to land a great position without as much as other students. I think it depends on you, and how much you push yourself to make professional contacts while studying. If you're already excepted to the US school and you plan to work there, I think that sounds like a smart decision.
