Hi there,
I'm about to start my applications for MBA full-time programmes and am looking for some sort of events that can get me in touch with admissions directors - to clear away any queries, get insider info on programmes/application procedure etc, and of course to leave a good impression. Does anyone of you know any good events in London??
I have heard of the Connect 1-2-1 event that brings together MBA candidates with admissions people all over the world - has anyone ever attended that event and can give me some advice on whether it was useful? I know it's taking place again in London May 15th with pretty good b-schools taking part (e.g. Duke, HEC, IE, Warwick, Manchester B-School), so I'm considering registering there. Has anyone got any info on that?
Would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Claire

Are your sure are a real applicant and not working in the QS TopMBA Connect 1-2-1 marketing department? Your post sounds like an advertisement.

I've actually been working in finance for the past 5 years and just gave that many details so that there's no mix up with other events that may or may not take place in London at the same time. Cause I'm not interested in going to any common MBA fair where you have to queue up at stands due to too many people coming along. I'm specifically interested in going to that Connect event cause it would give me the opportunity to have personal meetings with admissions directors of the schools I'm interested in without anyone interrupting. As such I was wondering if someone else has ever been there and could give me some advice.
I apologise if that sounded like an advert to you
Best wishes,

Sounds dodgy. If you're selling Connect whatever, I would say, don't waste your time. If you're really interested, I would again, say, don't waste your time.
This is a much better event
