London has 1 in 6 UK job vacancies

Duncan

I posted a nice chart at https://twitter.com/DuncanChapple/status/1416029728516067333/photo/1 from the new issue of People Management. London has around 1 in 7 UK residents and 1 in 6 UK vacancies, as well as 37% of the UK's foreign residents. Many non-UK people rule out schools outside the capital because they either think that all the jobs are in London, or because they prefer to be close to major concentrations of their own community. This is, as far as I can see, a huge arbitrage for people seeking managerial roles in engineering, healthcare, IT, manufacturing sales, the supply chain.

Hi Duncan, thanks for sharing. Would you be able to recommend a few good schools in Southeast and Northwest?

Hi all,
I've applied to Booth UK EMBA and planning to apply to the LBS EMBA program. Post EMBA My main goal is to start my own shop specializing in offering financial services in the UK.
1) I'm really confused if I should pick Booth UK over LBS given booth UK is fairly new and if I want to really develop a strong network, which school will benefit me the most? My goal is to build a strong network and also participate in VC funds/ clubs/ associations. Now, Booth UK being fairly new has small number of alumni students as compared to LBS..will this affect my chances of building a really strong network?
2) Secondly, Ive finished all the rounds of interviews with Booth Uk and might get an admit letter in 2 weeks, classes start from September.. with LBS EMBA I'm yet to find out if they've Jan/Feb 2022 intake option available. If they don't ill waste 1 year as booth starts in Sept 2021. I will have to wait for 1 more year just to apply to LBS EMBA September 2022 intake
Is it worth the wait?
Any guidance/help is highly appreciated ?

The FT ranking does that well.
