Looks good so far. What do you do? Do you have managerial experience? Experience in international teams? What are your goals?

Hey Duncan
There is no easy way to summarize my portfolio but I have tried below:
In short
I love planes and trains so I wanted to experience Aviation and Railway from the engineering perspective before I moved onto business. Now that I have done that, rather than supporting the backend as an engineer I want to drive company direction via business development concentrating on emerging markets. I will stay in aviation and railway but experience it from the business perspective. I am interested in the advantage that sustainable products will provide to these economies. I have recently pioneered a technology at my company that harvests energy which could potentially power nearby villages.
So in summary -- > Emerging Markets + Business Development + Sustainable products = Successful transportation company + Transformed emerging economy.
What will help me get into a business role --> My contacts in the industry + Intuitive understanding of the industry + MBA education.
Why LBS --> Global outlook + Internation Exchange Program in emerging markets + Alumni (diversity and caliber) + London (mature transport market) + Classes offered
I am a reliability and safety engineer by profession. My job function today is more of a safety project manager coordinating all activities from bids to product delivery with respect to safety and reliability of our transport product portfolio. I also represent the division (3000 people) at the corporate level in the Product Safety Committee. So far I have certified train and plane systems that are carrying 2 billion passengers accross the world (In China, Kuala lumpur, Germany, France, UK, USA, Brazil, India, Spain + more).
Before this I have worked as a management consultant intern for 6 months at Oliver Wyman (I did this to evaluate my career about three years ago). I obtained this volunteer internship by calling up their headquarters.
---------------------------------------------
1st job to 2nd job 20% increase in salary
2nd job to 3rd job 25% increase in salary
3rd job promotion to switzerland 50% increase in salary
---------------------------------------------
Note: I dont have any direct reports but my job is of a safety project manager that coordinates activities accross divisions and functions to reach this end point of providing a safety certification for a passenger transport system. The responsibility therefore is huge ( Like I have mentioned before my certifications today are carrying close to 2 billion people world wide).

Very interesting. LBS makes sense for you, but the school will want to have a sense of your appetite for leadership and team work. These could be things you could work on outside work hours...

Very good advice by Mr. Duncan because LBS is always more interested in knowing leadership experience / potential and team work and not only technical skills.
