Dear Vivek,
I wonder why you want to do part time MBA from Manchester in dubai when other good options are available. Do some research there are some highly reputable programs available in Dubai such as Cass, LBS, Insead, Hult.
Lancaster, Manchester, Strathclyde or Warwick MBA

Guys I'm not sure why you've heard of discontent at Lancaster, but I've visited the campus, met some of the staff and interviewed lots of MBA students - all are incredibly positive. Plus, did you know that the Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Kevin Roberts studied at Lancaster?

Well I agree with you, Lancaster students are positive and they are among the best in the country, yet many people on this forum gate to admit this. You are right Saatchi & Saatchi CEO is now working with Lancaster students on the marketing course to design strategies and so on. He is active with the Uni and he earned an honorary doctorate. He did not study there per se, yet he is largely involved on a corporate level, like many other companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, BT, NHS and others, which shows that Lancaster is highly involved, especially recently with companies. I will not get into an argument especially with Nanand (with all due respect) because what you are saying is not true at all. You can?t say rankings are not accurate or could be disregarded. All schools are rates on the same parameters so it is fair for all. On top of that, I know a lot of people who have graduated from warwick and they are currently working at Starbucks because they have no jobs. Lancaster is in the top 10 in all three league tables, it is in the top 125 universities in the world, where Warwick didn't even make it to this table. Each table has its measures, so you can't just go and compare uni's and judge that one is lousy especially when its one of the top 10 since many years. Besides, it is healthy to change your perception of a university and not always stereotype it. Many at Lancaster are now working in multi-national firms and many are becoming famous people and people who are currently rated in the top 100 influential people.
If FT, is wrong, then Forbes can't also be wrong, or Guardian, or Times or the independent. So chill mate, you just need to research harder to know that Lancaster is at par with Wariwck. Both are in rural areas so no advantage of location, trust me on this.
One last thing to note, Warwick is a money minded university, so it has already lost its reputation as an academic uni, as they are becoming too much involved in earning more money.
Before I forget, Lancaster is part of an international masters programme in practicing management, which is a partnership between INSEAD, McGill, Lancaster, and another two top-notch business schools in india and Japan. I do not think INSEAD or McGill would partner with a lousy university as you named it.
Cheers

i think you may struggle at all of these schools with your level of work experience and GMAT.
For GMAT, you should be looking at 610 minimum, and 3-5 years management experience, not just work experience.
Manchester (Marketing & Finance) and Cass (Finance) should be on your list.

Hi Anusha,
Go for any business school but lancaster. Althought getting into lancaster is very easy as compared to other schools in your list, they will also try to trap you by offering scholarships / concession but be careful. You should also add on your list brimingham and bradford.

Hi nanand,
Just for your info, getting to lancaster is not easy, it is very difficult :) they get 12 applicants for each place on the MBA programme and I have personally seen that. THey do not give scholarships left and right so I would truly ask you to study your posts well before displaying them as you would be misleading students with your comments :)
Besides, Lancaster is the highest ranked among all those mentioned, not only by Financial Times, but also by Forbes and by research as Lancaster is placed ahead in business research. When you comment, please make it an informed comment and have some proofs because in this way you are not helping students.
One more thing, Birmingham is a very good university but not primarily in business, so based on professional research Birmingham is not known for its MBA. Bradford could be a choice, yet not even close to Lancaster, Imperial or warwick. Edinburgh is not very good in business so I think you can omit this out.
If you wish to contrinute pls put some proofs so we could all benefit from your comments !!!!!
Cheers

Hi Naved,
First of all, thanks for your reply! How do you rate Strath and Manchester in all aspects? I am in dilemma because some post strong feedbacks about Strath and some not.. So how do you think since you have done your MBA from there? How is its present standard?

Yeh I am MBA from Strath.
I cant make any comment on Manchester I never went their nor my any friend... their is diffrence of FEE, CITY, Country... although I dont thing thsir is much diffrence...
If you got admission in Manchester ..thn go for it.
In my view in scotland it have highest standerds in Business education.. in full time its fine but I seen part time and fexible Mba students their profiles are like hell..Top Notch of Industries...Genrally in full time students are very young aprox age of 27 thir achivments and experiances are very limited ... although from diversified background but some time sounds innocents memos... You are looking for quality education ..thn first question must be clear in yourself why you want to come UK... After MBA what you really want to do... If you are changing your fild You must discuss with you WISE seniors at what extent it will help ...Unless after MBA you will be in Big Delima EVER
