Exeter MBA vs Edinburgh MBA

docans

I am a doctor in India and going to pursue a full-time MBA in UK.

I aim to develop my soft skills through the MBA. Post-MBA I intend to work as an NHS doctor and later pursue management roles in healthcare/open my own clinics.

I am torn between Exeter MBA and Edinburgh MBA, both full time. I have already paid a deposit for Exeter so will lose over 2k pounds if I accept Edinburgh now. Also, with a scholarship Exeter, my expenses at Exeter will be about 20k pounds lesser than at Edinburgh.

Please advise me which one would be better suited.

Thank you.

The NHS uses these schools for its leadership MBA:

Bradford, Lancaster, Nottingham, Durham, Hertfordshire, Open University and Alliance Manchester Business School.

Between the schools you mention, I think UEBS is much more a soft skills place: Exeter's MBA tends to focus a bit more on leadership.

PS

Did you not consider the Exeter  MSc in Healthcare Leadership and Management?

Thank you for your reply, Duncan.

I wanted a broad business knowledge so decided on MBA over healthcare focused courses.

Exeter MBA has a wider range of modules and offers many options for company-based MBA projects. Having said that, would you say that the reputation of Edinburgh carries a lot more weightage with employers, especially if I am looking to work in London and nearby areas?

Thank you.
