Maybe someone here can help me shed some light here. Is Durham a good choice for a career in finance? The programme structure seems quite dynamic and they rank well. I also like the available funding options (48 scholarship awards) but would like to make sure that within the UK it is an overall solid choice. Thanks.

This depends on the sort of role you want. I think most people will be better off taking a MiF or MFE at a better school like LBS or Oxbridge.

Please can you elaborate on this? I plan on going to Durham or Edinburgh for MBA. Is Durham a really bad place to live in?

Durham is a small college town. I suggest you select on the basis of the business school rather than the location.
