I have eight years of experience in IT industry and looking to get into strategy consultancy. Looking for university to pursue MBA which has more career focused learnings approach. Also, I am an international student (Indian).

These schools are not likely to lead anyone into a strategy consulting role. Those firms recruit from the top business schools.

Thanks for the reply Duncan. What about management consulting or product management then? I do not have a GMAT, hence I haven't applied for any top schools.

Also, I am open to other school suggestions as well.

LinkedIn is your friend. Read the posts on my profile page about using LinkedIn, schools for placement, and the GMAT. To get a good job, decide on the job, see which are the best schools for those jobs, and then see what you need to enter them.

In my opinion, management consulting firms will rarely recruit from these schools. If you take the GMAT, you will have more options, some of which might mesh better with your career goals.

Their test is at the same level as the GMAT, with similar questions.
