Hi,
I am working in middle management level in project construction company ( in India) having work ex of 17 years ( marketing and project execution ) possessing only engineering degree. Now, for some time i am planning to pursue MBA ( with scholarship ) from US/UK so that i can change my industry to consultancy. Recently, I have started preparation for GMAT also. Pls guide.

As consultancies generally recruit younger folks - and b-schools try to recruit those who firms want - you are going to have some challenges.
Indeed, the top schools for consulting - LBS, Harvard, Columbia, Dartmouth, Fuqua, etc. - all tend to take students who have in the 4-6 years of work experience range. You'll need to come up with a convincing pitch for yourself in terms of why you need an MBA - rather than an EMBA - and why now.
