You can see data for salary and career progression in the FT MBA and MFin rankings. Why not look at those and answer this yourself?

They're usually aimed at two different sets of people: if you have at least three years of work experience, go for an MBA, but if you have less, go for a Master in Finance.
However, there's another class of Master in Finance programs - the "post-work experience" type, such as LBS' Master in Finance and SMU's MSc in Wealth Management. These are usually aimed at those who already have work experience in the field of finance.

Depends, if they're happy with your quantitative skills, as demonstrated by your work experience or strong undergraduate performance, then the GMAT would probably not add much. But if there are any shortcomings in your background, or if you had a poor undergraduate GPA etc., then a strong GMAT score would help.

@ mrashid7,
What Duncan and Laurie are probably trying to say is that there is no definitive answer. Lot will depend upon you, and your abilities to make the best use of the program you enroll.
MBA/ MFIN both can give boost your Career. Since you have 7 years of work experience. MBA will be more suited.

No, there is no definitive answer. It will depend on a number of factors, including career background/expertise, current job level, and career goals.
