Urgent - MBA - Trinity Business School vs Lancaster vs Nottingham

Hi All,

Greetings for the day.

I am from India and I have got admission to all the 3 schools mentioned above. I have 6 years of work experience with Deloitte. My goal is to get into business research (market research).

Pls suggest which one should i go for out of three options mentioned above.

My plan is to work in UK or Ireland so kindly give consideration to the fact that Ireland gives 1 year work permit whereas UK doesn't.

Thanks

Lancaster and Trinity are ranked very closely in terms of international mobility. That means that most likely, one will not give you a huge edge in terms of placements in the UK.

I would take a look at people in the UK who are doing the kind of work you're looking for (and who work in the companies you'd be targeting), and see where they did their MBAs.

These two schools are also pretty close in terms of employability stats - that is, 90 or 91 percent of the graduating class was able to find jobs within three months of graduation. If I were you I would as the schools directly for the stats on the number of MBAs who were able to find jobs *by graduation*, because, in the case of Lancaster, finding a job by graduation would be fairly important to you.

Nottingham fell out of the FT rankings several years ago (2010 or 2011??) so it's harder to get info about post-MBA placements for this school. Ask them directly.

Thanks for your post guys.

Duncan - The LinkedIn method showed me more MBA graduates from Nottingham than Lancaster. However in almost all the rankings I see Lancaster above Nottingham.

MBA Hipster: It seems probably you are confusing Trinity Business School with UCD Ireland. Trinity Business School is not there in FT rankings.

I have received one more offer from Henley Business School. How would you both rate Henley when compared to Lancaster. There is lot of confusion in rankings. The economist suggests that Henley is No. 22 in the world However it's not even in top 100 of FT rankings. Even in The Economist ratings students career service rating is 2.7 which is exceptionally bad. How come it is 22nd in world according to them in that case? Lastly please advise which is more relevant ranking for MBA - The economist or FT.
Additionally Eduniversal gives 5 palmes to Trinity Business school though its not even in top 100 of FT and The Economist. It's all very confusing. Myabe Duncan you can give more insight about Trinity since if I am not wrong you stayed in Ireland sometime (or perhaps you are an Irish).

Thanks All

Try searching the board for Trinity. The FT and The Economist have different weightings, so I am not surprised that they have different outcomes.
