Hi all,
I was wondering why schools are asking about which school a candidate will be attending when their offer is declined. Are they just curious or...? What are the pros and cons for telling them that?
Thank you
Should I tell them which school I'm going to?

No harm telling them. It even made me feel better.

It can be strategic on their part: maybe if they know you're planning on going to a better-ranked school, they may be more likely to try to sell you on their program.
