Hi

I am a Chartered Accountant from India with 4years of experience in Banking Industry. Looking to pursue an MBA in Finance from schools in Singapore/US/Canada.
Post MBA goal will be to continue in Banking/Financial Services Industry.

Pls suggest me schools that i should aim at applying. GPA 4.00 (89%), GMAT score 640 (planning to re-take, however mocks have been around the same only)

Schools I have shortlisted:
1) Nayang Business School (Singapore)
2) National University of Singapore
3) University of British Columbia (UBC) - Sauder School of Business

Not able to shortlist from schools in USA.. How does AACSB accredition help?

Hi,

I've just landing from Vancouver after spending there 6 months. I've visited UBC campus and honestly is astonishing. However, I've met people who are studying there and they are not so impressive about UBC academic. I wanted to study it's MBA program yet its tuition (55k) no is worthwhile. As far as I concerned you will find better Business Schools in Europe cheaper and better qualified than UBC, for instance: Bradford, Rotmat, Warkick,Notthingham, Birmingham,Strathclyde. All of the are better situated in FT ranking as well
as all of the are cheeper
than UBC.Also you should consider that Vancouver is extremely expensive for living.

If you want to do MBA in Singapore stick to the 3 public schools in NUS, Nanyang and SMU
All 3 have amazing campus and resources. The teaching is on par with any top MBA
and the job market is simply excellent. The growth of the whole economy means pretty anyone who can walk talk and think can at least has decent career

What I can think of is only those in the UK but not as highly ranked as those you listed...

I'm not sure that cheaper options (that is to say, worse ones) will meet your goals. Try: How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571

If you want to work in Singapore go with one of the Singapore schools, if you want to work in Canada go with UBC. :)

That's very basic advice, but this is a decision that you should make before you start shortlisting schools.
