OPT after MBA/ MS programs in US

DeeR05

I have 13 years of experience working as an IT professional and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from India. I would be moving to US soon on a dependent visa and wish to continue working. I also want to move to a Management/ Strategy/ Consulting role and hence exploring MS and MBA programs that are STEM designated and would help me secure an OPT.

Most programs I have explored are designed for fresh graduate students. My strengths are Communication, research/ input. What would be better an MBA or an MS in Project/ program management?

The quality of the school will matter more than the degree. An MS from a strong school (like one of these https://www.re-thinkingthefuture.com/architectural-community/a3870-15-best-universities-in-the-world-for-masters-in-project-management/ although these might not really be all of the best schools) will be better than a MBA from a weak school.
