Hello friends,
This might be a long post, so my apologies.
I really need your valuable advice on my career situation. I am from India and have completed engineering and hence worked for 2 and half years and post that did my MBA and is working with Market Research firm for 3 and half years.
I am trying my very best to get into Branding / Product Management / FinTech roles, but due to stiff competition and also my MBA degree not being from one of the reputed institutes am finding it difficult to get a decent opening. I cannot even transition my career without sacrificing heavily. And it feels like i am stuck forever!!!!
Hence I was considering about getting an MBA from International colleges like INSEAD, HEC, etc by taking GMAT. I am 33 and I know its difficult to achieve at this very moment, but it would be great if you can suggest me if i am on right path?!
Sorry to sound very confusing, but I am confused and was hoping good people could guide me here on next path or MBA colleges
Thanks,
Sam

You need a much clearer career goal.

Look at the kinds of companies you are interested in working in. Do some research and find out (1) if the people in the roles you're interested in have done an MBA, and (2) if so, at what school.
Insead and HEC are great schools, for some candidates. Not for everybody. It would depend on what your goals are.

Are there post-MBA roles in these kinds of functional areas that in terms of salary would make sense to commit the kind of tuition charged for a high-end MBA? You have to understand that a lot of folks who do these kinds of MBAs go into consulting, financial services, etc., industries with very high salary outcomes. For your goals, maybe something more specialized and lower cost might be a better solution.
You can reach out to the schools you are interested in and have a frank discussion about whether their programs fit your specific goals.
