Do you have a budget or country in mind. A masters in finance might be better than an MBA.

Dear Duncan Thank you for your message, mba is in finance is a good alternative, thanks for suggesting. My needs are that I would like to understand more the capital markets, economics, and finance, and also human resources and management of a team. as background in law, I will not be a financial analyst neither work in Finance, however I am quite curious and would like to have a mba for to be more versatile and have more responsabilities at my work and also satisfy a personal interest in capital markets. In terms of budget, my budget would be around 10,000 for a distance /online learning executive mba. I would be grateful of your thoughts on these above, your suggestion. I thank you very much for your response and time in advance and have a nice day Pinar

I suggested a masters in finance as an alternative to an MBA. In the West, a masters in finance is normally an MS or MSc (see for example the University of London online MSc https://london.ac.uk/courses/finance-major-financial-sector-management ), but in India is often an MCom, for example at US-accredited Amity: https://amityonline.com/master-of-commerce-financial-management-online

thank you Duncan, I have already a MSc degree. Then my question is : what differentiates MBA from masters such as the finance? I imagine that you do have already perhaps some past discussions and would be grateful if you could send me the links. many thanks.

An MBA is a general management degree covering every area of management. A masters is finance is focussed in finance. Other things being equal, an MSc is cheaper. You will be able to get into a better school with the same amount of money with an MSc.
