MBA at University of Edinburgh UEBS or MBA at Alliance Manchester Business School

Hi all

Which of the two is better suited? UEBS is of interested as the courses ends in august 2021, while ABS now is earliest April 2022...

From what i understand Edinburgh has a better overall reputation as a university, while ABS is a better business school?

Thanks

Take a look at the post on my profile page abiut using LinkedIn.  I am not sure I think these are the best schools for your goals.

Obviously you can easily do that analysis yourself. You can manually add the other top UK schools if you need and compare the number of MBA alumni in target segments with those not in target segments. I searched LinkedIn for fintech + MBA in the UK, for example, and most of the top five schools are not in London. If you need help help to do this, you can read how to hire me on my profile page.

There are no generic students. There are people with specific goals, who should make a concrete analysis, and people without specific goals,  who should get goals before they make choices.

i found interesting stats on UEBS MBA acceptance rates...they have rougly 600 applications each year, they give out approx 100 offers, for 45-50 final spots.

I'm a PhD candidate at UEBS, and those acceptance rates are even lower on some programmes, including the largest one (the MA). I think many more people use university rankings than MBA rankings, so Edinburgh has a big advantage as a top 20 university worldwide. The setting is quite magical: just compare George Square versus Booth Street West on Google Map!

I think there is a lot of self-selection for MBS because the five-term structure spotlights it for people making the biggest career changes. Edinburgh's one year format is less challenging.

Twice as long for the same degree, plus lots of bad news there because of construction and redundancies. Edinburgh has mystique.
