I've noticed in the news that there have been a number of MBA students in India who've committed suicide recently:
Last month there was a 26 year old woman in Dehli, and then in the past couple of weeks there was a 23 year old man and a 24 year old man as well...
What's the deal with that? Is studying for the MBA just too much? Or is it something else?
Indian MBA students committing suicide?

This is the 'dark' side of education system all around the world.
I know that at MIT, usually 1 or 2 suicides per year is considered normal.
How sick is that!!!
These people want to better their life by going to world-class institution and ends up losing their scholarship or graduate with no job (and huge debt).
I believe this is the same thing with models, in milan/paris, who starve themselves to death for the aim becoming the next kate moss.
But in fashion world, the Govt (in italy) at least do something about it.
However, nobody has brought this up to the senate in U.S., China, India or all over the world.
I feel that the university has to do something, like pro-active counseling.
Instead just create a suicide hotline, and expect those who want to commit suicide actually call the number before jumping of the bridge.
So when you go to school (or buy a product), it is only 'Caveat Emptor' (buy at your own risk).
Because nobody will guarantee you a job or US$100k salary once you graduate.
I heard that one of the NYU stern recent grad came to the dean's office, banged his table and yelled 'where's my job?'.
This is the real world of education system. =(
