I have just enrolled on an MBA course. I would like to find out everybody's thoughts on preparing for an MBA course.

From talking to MBA lectures I found many MBA students don't have enough knowledge of the foundations/basics of MBA topics/modules. Has anyone had any experience with tools/courses they know of or use to prepare for an MBA course?

What did you receive once you enrol on your course?

It honestly depends on your background and your weaknesses. You'll hit the ground running, and there will be very little time to get caught up on essential information that you're lacking.

That's why most MBA programs will tell you if there are any prereqs that you need to complete before the program, or any fundamental topics that you should refresh yourself on if you are weak in those areas.

I did my MBA at Darden and actually wrote a book to help people with this. In my first year I noted all the information I wish I had know before I went to business school, accounting, stats, finance, etc. Then I wrote it up in my final year with the help of my class mates, you can find it on Amazon under MBA Prep
